Well, I’ve been working on the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas character designs for Raoul Duke, HST’s (Hunter S. Thompson) alter ego. I didn’t really realize it was his birthday yesterday while I was working on his character but Its kinda funny how things work out. My ideas are still in a rough state, but are moving along. I’ll show you where I’m going with the Duke as the sketches progress. I have also been working on a final Lounge Lizard which I have been coloring like I did with the Hitchhiker character design, but I am not completely satisfied yet. Hopefully, you’ll be seeing him soon. Well…..Happy belated birthday Hunter S. Thompson….you are missed.

like the sketch. happy HST birthday.
Fear and Loathing! I loved the sketch and instantly knew who it was before reading any of the caption. What a case study he was, truly amazing to sit down and wonder how the heck a mind like his worked! Thanks for sharing the drawings!
Drugs thats how his mind worked
@Eben07: You know it!
@dmk: Happy HST birthday for us all. I am glad you enjoyed the sketch.
@Susie: You are too kind as always, but I think Iono’s comment did do something to explain HST’s mind at least to a point.
@Iono: As I said to Susie, certainly many substances played a big role, but I think there is something deeper there too which perhaps these substances enabled him to see.
