“You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not?’” ~ George Bernard Shaw
By some marvel of imagination I see a rabbit in here. What do you “C?”

In this is a piece, I attempted to control the flow of watered down acrylics to create an image of one of my favorite Simians, the Gorilla. King Kong has nothing on me!
This piece is in the same vein as Simian Style. Each one is unique. I love to make these because I get to completely let my art loose without the confines of any specific form overall. As my artistic mind wanders, I hope that your mind wanders as it ponders the possibility of representational forms springing forth from the chaos.
“When we encounter a natural style we are always surprised and delighted, for we thought to see an author and found a man.” ~ Pascal
I think the same can be said of any artist whether he crafts the written word or composes a lasting image. Yesterday, I discussed what I call Simian Style which I mentioned reflects my quintessential artistic style. I decided to make a “Simian” logo which I proudly display.
This piece is actually more or less untitled. I used the heading Simian Style to reflect the technique in which it is composed. Simian over the years has become a knickname of mine. It might be because I have always liked to draw apes. When I talk about Simian Style, I am reflecting on my fundamental artistic tendencies. This abstract style with ink is as personal as my art gets for me.
I used to refer to these types of drawings as doodles until someone told me that at somepoint I would have to start referring to my doodles as art. Soon after that I started referring to myself as an artist.
And now for something different. This is an old school piece and a visualization of the twisted hallucinations in my mind. It is a pen and ink drawing that challenges the observer to explore its hidden depths some of which I created and some of which you will.
Pen and ink is where much of my artistic journey began. It is a special medium which is near and dear to my heart.
Ink brings a drawing to life like no other medium. Line control is especially important and line control with ink is something that has always come naturally to me.
